Dalglish took over from Roy Hodgson in January and has been a revelation as the club’s fortunes have turned around in recent times.
“Working with Kenny Dalglish as a player is great because he’s a great coach and he’s won numerous trophies with the club”, said the former Ajax man.
“With him as our manager next season we can compete for the title.”
