Bruce believes Zenden is great as a role model for the youngster players at the Stadium of Light.
“He’s enjoying the role of playing alongside these young kids,” Bruce told the Daily Mail.
“He’s exactly the type I wanted in the dressing room for them.
“This week he stayed out training with Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson, and he’s still better than them all at shooting.”
