Gabbiadini believes the arrival of the 21-year-old is a ‘sign’ of things to come.
“Fraizer Campbell’s a great signing,” Gabbiadini told the Sunday Sun.
“He had a fantastic season with Hull [City] when they got promoted and I think they were very disappointed to lose him.
“He went back to Manchester United, and then Tottenham [Hotspur] on loan, where he hardly played.
“As a young man, he’ll have a lot of pent-up frustration to come out; he’ll want to prove a point and get back to where he was.
“He’s a young, hungry English player, so Steve Bruce has pulled off a bit of a coup there.”
