The 29-year-old Croatia international has been linked with several clubs, including Sunderland.
“I have always had a lot of interest in the Premier League because it is a great league,” he said.
“I have many friends playing in England and they have told me great things about it.
“For now my objective is to play well and to score goals for Sporting, but it is possible that something could happen in the summer.”
