The 28-year-old Napoli midfielder is reportedly nearing a return to the Premier League.
“Like all clubs, I think we need to spruce the squad up and get some new faces in,” said Curtis.
“A striker would probably be the main priority but it could be other positions as well. Jonathan [De Guzman] is one of a list of names of players that I’ve seen.
“Jonathan is a player we know and it makes sense to bring players in you have some sort of knowledge of.”
De Guzman spent the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons on loan at Swansea.
