The People reports that Bolton are ready to offer Elmander a new deal, but the striker could be forced to take a pay cut to stay t the club.
Elmander has impressed so far this season, but his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old is currently earning £2million-plus per season at Bolton.
