The 35-year-old believes their win over Arsenal last weekend have given them a confidence boost ahead of their visit to Old Trafford.
“We’re capable of winning,” he told the Sun. “A few weeks ago remember, City beat Barcelona in a friendly. Also I think we’ll have more confidence now we’ve beaten Arsenal.
“The team is very good. It’s a strong side with a good mentality. Of course we still have to improve things but we’re an important club in Europe today.
“Both clubs have good sides and players but live in a different moment. We are at a different stage in our development to United. Players have come [to City] because they feel it’s a good time to be here.”
