Tevez has complained about football in the past, insinuating that he may retire at any time due to ‘tiredness’, whilst Santa Cruz believes that his desire to be with his family in Argentina could lead him to return there, but only at the end of his contract.
“Your heart goes out to his family,” Santa Cruz told Cadena Ser. “He wants to be among his people, who are in Argentina.
“His siblings and his daughters are also there. When you feel that your homeland is calling you back, you could end up giving up everything to return.
“Still, I think that he will see out and fulfil his contract with City before returning home.”
