Zidan joined his current club Mainz 05 from Werder Bremen for a reported 3 million Euros in January 2007, making him their biggest signing ever.
Zidan has also been linked with Hamburg SV, Stuttgart and several Spanish clubs.
German newspapers have reported that Zidan has a relagation release clause in his contract with newly relegated Mainz, which would allow him to leave the club.
