The Brazilian’s agent has confirmed he is in talks with a Serie A club.
“We are in contact with an Italian team, but we can’t name names because we don’t want to interfere with the negotiations,” Marcos Paulo Souza Ribeiro told calciomercato.
“Obviously, it would be easier to adapt to a language, a culture and an entirely new type of game if he could count on some of his countrymen.”
He added: “I can say that chances are good that Douglas will move to a foreign team in the summer, because we have also been contacted by an English club and a German one.”
