Manchester United could be back in the running to sign Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus.
The Daily Express reports that United could cause rivals Chelsea a “real headache” in the transfer market, with the potential to offer Donny van de Beek to his former club as part of any deal.
United have been keeping tabs on the Ghanaian winger for a year, but they were ruled out of the race due to his £40million asking price.
Kudus would be keen to be reunited with former boss Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
Reports now suggest United are considering a player-plus-cash for Kudus, that will include midfielder Donny van de Beek returning to the Dutch giants.
Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan has previously told Sky Sports: “As soon as [Erik] ten Hag knocks on his door, Kudus will go.”
