The 25-year-old has been linked iwth a host of club over the summer, but has now agreed to a new deal that will keep him at the Stade Velodrome until the summer of 2014.
“I have always stated that I love the club and its fans,” Valbuena told Marseille’s official website.
“With this contract I have shown that my commitment is worth more than words.
“At my age a player rarely signs on for so long at one club.”
