Valencia are looking to bring in a new left-back in the summer and could make a move for Mantovani.
The 26-year-old has developed into a key player for Chievo since joining the club from Torino in the summer of 2005.
Mantovani has also been linked with the likes of Napoli, Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid.
