Club vice-president Miguel Zorio confirmed on Wednesday that they failed to meet their next construction payment.
“It’s not a paralysation of works but a postponement of payment,” Zorio told Las Provincias.
“When we pay, work will resume at the same rate as before. I wouldn’t call it a paralysation because some workers have continued (working).”
Zorio insists the stadium should still be ready for the 2010/11 season.
