The Telegraph reports that the Ecuadorean winger could make his comeback for the United reserves against Blackpool on Wednesday afternoon.
The 25-year-old is not expected to start against Arsenal this weekend.
Valencia has been out of action since September, when he sustained a broken ankle against Rangers.
