The former Manchester United striker said: “After the game against Getafe we all woke up. The players and the trainer spoke a lot after the encounter, we commented on everything and we said in the dressing room ‘never again’.
“It was an experience that was very good for all the squad. I hope it was a one-off and that we never play that badly, I really mean it.”
The Dutchman is also looking forward to the match against Barcelona on Sunday.
He added: “Nobody has explained the meaning of this game to me, but I suppose that it will be equal to a Manchester-Liverpool match and of those, yes, I have experienced a few.
“The fans are excited, the atmosphere is very special. For many it is their life, it is the best moment of the year and they wait for it each season.
“I have a great desire to play in the Madrid-Barcelona game because everyone remembers it. It is the greatest derby in the universe.”
