Vazquez is currently on a season-long loan from La Liga outfit Getafe, but the 22-year-old is keen on an extended stay in the Premier League.
Vazquez said in the Daily Star Sunday: “It’s a shame to have the chance because the other players are injured but I’ve been working hard in case the chance came along.
“I will do my best if the boss picks me to play.
“I am really happy playing in the Premier League. I like Swansea, I am living here with my family and I would love to stay at the club for longer.
“It’s a really good club to be at because of the amount of Spanish players.
“I’m trying my best to convince the boss. If I do well in the next few games then I hope it will help me.”
