New boss Ernest Valverde is keen on signing the 27-year-old former Monaco winger.
Plasil’s agent told French newspaper La Provence: “It was a surprise to see him [Plasil] associated with Marseille or Bordeaux, as there has been no contact with either of these clubs.
“At Osasuna, his career has stalled a little, he is willing to remain in Spain. Villarreal have approached us.”
