Since Leonardo’s departure to PSG this week, Inter have stepped up the search for a replacement.
Sporting Director Marco Branca said: “Villas-Boas will not be the new Inter coach.
“I find it imperative to make this clarification as there have been numerous suggestions made by the media.
“He is attached to Porto and his buy-out clause is simply too huge, but that is not the only reason it excludes the possibility of him being on the Inter bench next season.”
