The Chairboys suffered relegation from League One last year however Waddock does not think that they will be automatic favourites to go back up.
“We haven’t made ourselves one of the favourites to go up this year, other people have, so it won’t play on our minds,” he told skysports.com.
“We know how difficult a division League Two is to get out of and there are a lot of good sides in it, so we are just going to see how things go early on and take it from there. We aren’t favourites in our mind.
“You can’t look too far ahead and we were delighted to get off to a good start despite having a difficult opener against Morecambe.
“They did very well last year to get into the play-offs and they will want to go one step further this season, so it was a good test for us to see where we are.”
