The Dutchman has been handed the captaincy following Cesc Fabregas’s departure and Wenger believes he is a more vocal leader than the Spaniard.
“Robin van Persie loves this club, he’s attached to this club,” Wenger said. “He’s a technical leader on the pitch, and he’s grown into a leader [off it].”
