The 23-year-old has been a key player for Werder Bremen, but has admitted his intention to move to the Premier League in a recent interview with Bild.
“For me, England is only a league more attractive [than the Bundesliga,” he said. “The stadiums, the fans, the atmosphere in the Bundesliga are very, very good.”
He added: “I’ve only just renewed [my contract] but at some point this is an option. Part of my family comes from England, and the Premier League appeals to me.”
