The Mali international came close to joining Newcastle United last summer.
The 24-year-old has recently been strongly linked with the likes of West Ham and Reading.
“My dream has always been to play in the Premier League, the best league in the world,” Maiga said.
“I almost joined Newcastle, but it did not happen.
“Some Sochaux fans held that against me, but not all of them.
“It is still my ambition to play in the Premier League, so if a team wants to talk I will listen to them once they have reached an agreement with Sochaux.”
