He said: “Carlos gives us all a lift. When he is in possession of the ball he is as good as anyone in the Premier League. He can go right or left, can unbalance any defender.
“But he needs a goal. He had a fine game at Everton, he moves well with the ball and you never really know which way he is going to go, left or right, because he does both equally well.
“But a goal from him will give us all a boost. Even so, his performance at Everton was the highlight for us.”
