The 21-year-old will spend the next season on loan at Upton Park should a work permit be arranged for the forward.
Sulejmani joined Ajax in a record £13million deal in the summer of 2008, but has failed to make the expected impact for the Dutch side.
“The club have agreed terms with Ajax and also with the Serbian international forward but the 21-year-old’s move from Amsterdam to London is subject to a work permit hearing. West Ham United will make no further comment on this matter until the result of that hearing is known,” a statement read on the Hammers’ official website.
