Hildebrand is available on a free transfer after his contract with Hoffenheim expired at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old has been linked with Wigan and Fulham in recent weeks.
“He is very keen to challenge himself in the English game,” said Martin Stopper.
“Hildebrand feels the time is right to play in the Premier League.”
