The Latics managed to sign youngster Victor Moses from Crystal Palace in the January transfer window.
“We have to create a real appetite for people to come here,” said Martinez.
“Some are attracted by the way we play and want to be part of Wigan.
“Victor Moses came here despite a lot of interest from other Premier League clubs and that is important for us. He chose to come here despite the options.
“We have to keep doing that, we must show we are an attractive place for players to come to and improve their careers.”
