De Zeeuw says: “I’m fully expecting to see Manchester United challenging for the title this time.
“It’s good to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back from injury, he’s a great pro and a very good player, but he’s very difficult to play against.
“He’s so sharp and so alert – you have to watch him or else he will strike.”
The Latics will face United in the Premiership on Saturday.
“Last year’s game against United was a great game. We felt we deserved something but it will take another big effort at the weekend.”, De Zeeuw added.
