The Aussie striker’s agent, Willie McKay, has confirmed that the Latics are keen on his client.
He told the Daily Record: “Negotiations are at an early stage. Roberto is a big admirer of Scott and believes he would score a lot of goals in the Premier League.
“A loan might not sound like the ideal situation but if Scott goes down to England and makes his mark, his value will shoot through the roof.”
