Wolves moved out of the relegation zone with their 4-0 victory over Blackpool at the weekend.
“The target is for four wins in the last 10 games to stay up,” he said in the Express & Star.
“That’s the target and we’re well capable of doing it. I can see it going to the last game. I thought that would happen last season but we were safe by that stage.
“It all depends on the form of the other teams, but the way it’s been going all season I think that’s the way it will be.”
“It was a relief getting out of the bottom three but we always knew we’d be back in it again,” he added.
“We could be mid-table – but at least we’re fighting for something and we’ve got something to play for.
“It’s not fantastic, but that’s the way it’s turned out and you have to be positive and look forward to these games.
“It was a massive game against Blackpool and to win 4-0 was brilliant.”
